Plus all the hype for the tech gave me the impression that you couldn't use the jump drive after researching hyperlanes, but the ability to swap them out is nice. I hope there's a tech that makes the Unbidden less likely to appear, though. I hate giving up jump drives just because I want contingency to spawn after finding the ancient custodians.. You can sorta get warp like back by jacking up hyperlanes. There is a mod that messes with jump drives to get a warp feel, or so it claims, but none of it mirrors the actual differences between the travel methods. Technically the jump drive remains available for research, equip, and use, but the maximum jump distance will be 0. So you can't jump anywhere with it.
